I have a really sneaky traffic method for you today. :-)

This method will allow you to drive thousands of "free" visitors to your website, affiliate offer, or squeeze pages
which is going to result in more money for you!

The method is super sneaky and is all about using Yahoo answers as a traffic source.. Let's keep it our little secret.

I've laid out all six steps below.. Just follow it exactly and you'll be sending traffic to your offers in no time!

1) Go To: http://answers.yahoo.com/

2) Create 2 profiles, you will need both of them for this technique.

3) Use the first profile to create a keyword rich question.. (Remember you want keywords that are related to the product that you are promoting that have over 2000 exact searches per month on Google).
Use Google's Keyword Tool to figure that out.. Super easy!
Also make sure that the avg. page rank (for the keyword) of the top ten Google results is less than 1.5. To do this you can use SEO QUAKE which is an extension for Firefox.

4) Wait for several other people to supply answers to your question. The reason for this is so Yahoo won't catch on to what you will be doing, as this technique is a bit grey hat. =P

5) After several other people provide answers, use your second profile to answer your own question, and make sure that you provide a link back to whatever site you are promoting. (Affiliate link if you're an affiliate.)

6) Then log back into your first profile and pick your answer as the best answer. Doing this will ensure that your answer (and link) will be seen by anyone that Google's the same question. : )

And that's pretty much it! Works like a charm EVERY time.

Hey Guys, this is James Young and I am going to show you a little tip here for article marketers out there.

As you all know, all of the top internet marketers use article marketing because it is a great way to get traffic and some attention in the search engines for whatever you are promoting.

I am very active with article marketing as are a lot of people out there.

So, I want to share this very quick tip that can help you generate hundreds of automatic back links to every article you publish.

And it is very very easy to do. This can help boost all of your search engine rankings for the article you are producing, it can help you get indexed almost instantly and it will also help you build a lot of credibility.

Get a lot of links out there, get more traffic and ultimately you will be converting these into affiliate offers or your own products. Then as a result more money in your pockets and more profit, because this is what this is all about.

Now I am usinghttp://ezinearticles.com
as an example here because that is one of the most common ones out there and it is the most popular article directory for article marketers.

But, you can also do this with many other article directories. For example http://www.goarticles.com, http://www.articlesbase.com, http://articledashboard.com

But lots of these other places have this facility that I am about to show you.

So, let's have a look over here. I am just going to pick a random article, for example here this one here. And then, what I am going to show you not only can you grab this, but the thing I want to do is go to the author's page.

Now, this is a very cool little tip, because when you create an author's page you also get an RSS feed. What we are going to do is submit the RSS feed for our author's feed to lots of different directories. Now, for example, you click on the XML button and you get this little pop up and you get this page. This is what we want because this lists a description and a link to everyone of our author's articles. Now, this is the cool thing about this.

If you grab this (what is in the address bar) you can submit it to lots and lots of RSS directories.

Now these RSS directories will take your feed, automatically update, check for new entries, and then basically aggregate and show you on their site, a list of your links and articles and everything else.

This is syndication at it's best. And it's great because, again, like I said, it can help you get indexed quickly, it can get you eyeballs and most importantly, a lot of these links are do-follow links. So these little links are like votes for your site, saying, hey, this is cool, and it's syndicated right here.

Now there are ways you can do this. If you do a Google Search for RSS directory list, you can do it manually. But what I do recommend, to make your life easier, because you should do this for all sorts of different things is to go and grab a tool like RSSBOT.

which is about 20 bucks I think it is. So it's pretty cheap. Let me see if I can find the price of it. (hit the add to cart) Yeah, It's only 29 bucks. I think it supports 30 different RSS directories. Or you can use the tool that I use and that is RSS Submit.

And this can submit to over 130 directories which is very cool indeed. And it is a lot more expensive. It's about 140 bucks.

But here is the thing guys, whatever you are doing on line you can usually generate an RSS feed. For example, your blogs have RSS feeds, your videos have RSS feeds, I mean, right now, I am in the process of adding more videos to my youtube account.

Now what I am going to be doing, because you're watching one of the videos that is going to be uploaded there very shortly, I'm kind of in the middle of revamping this. I can actually grab an RSS feed from here as well. And again, I can start submitting that out. And getting that out there, creates more links to my items. And all of these links will be do-follow and it'll be very cool to be able to do that. Again, very very powerful stuff. Lots of back links means more penetration into the search engines, not only with Google, but also with Bing and Yahoo as well, which are really the top 3 Search engines. So, again you can do this with any of your articles, your blog posts and what have you.

But you will be able to grab your RSS feeds from anywhere, and anything you are doing. For example, you can also get RSS feeds from your Twitter account. That's cool. You can go and grab that and then submit that out there and I'll show you one final thing: I can show you how you can triple up. Now watch this.

Go to somewhere like RSS Mix. What you can do is combine several RSS feeds. For example I can grab this feed, (http://goarticles.com) latest articles by paul minus1, put it in RSS Mix/

, Say these are a combination of all my RSS Feeds from articles, blogs, twitter accounts, facebook pages, etc...
You can then create a unique feed that contains ALL of your RSS Feeds and then you can submit it by way of RSSBOT or RSS Submit. You basically double the power. More leads, more attraction, and a lot more links to your stuff you have up on the internet.

The history of the Royal Scots Dragoon Guards is the record of three ancient regiments: The Royal Scots Greys, the 6th Dragoon Guards and the 3rd the Prince of Wales Dragoon Guards. Affiliate Marketing Vs MLM

Hi Guys, this is James Young and I am here today to talk to you about MLM and Affiliate Marketing. And this video is mainly made to clear up a few things for people particularly on YouTube. Those of you who follow me on YouTube, I think some of you are a little bit confused or maybe not as informed on how I make money as people who follow my blog and websites because I am getting a lot of questions for my opinion on various MLM programs and MLM is something I do not do. I am an Affiliate Marketer and I make money as an affiliate. MLM which stands for Multi-level Marketing is where you have a product that is being pushed through multiple levels. So, let's say you sign up for a program and they have a product that you are going to sell. And, you make money every time you sell this product. But, you also make money when you recruit people to sign up for the program and sell. So, when they sign up for the program you make money and when they sell product you make money and that continues on 3, 4, 5, 6 levels deep. So, you got this team or this downline of people that are selling for you and you make money on your sales and your team sales. That is the general concept of MLM.

Affiliate marketing, which is what I do, and I make a full time living doing it. It's more of a one on one or one to one relationship where I sign up for a company, just say Amazon.com's affiliate program and they give me the affiliate links to promote on my website or blog and anytime a product is purchased as a result of my referral, I earn a commission and it ends there.

I don't recruit people to also sign up with Amazon.com and make money on their sales. NO. I just focus on my content, my blog, recommend products that I like and then make money that way.

Now, there are 2 tiers affiliate programs. SiteSell for example, they have a 2 tier affiliate program. http://www.sitesell.com/
So, if you have a friend that's signs up with their program and then she gets somebody to buy a Site Build It, then you will make a commission on her sale but it just stops at that 2nd tier. You don't then make money on 3rd, 4th or 5th level. That will be MLM. So don't confuse 2 tier affiliate programs with MLM. It's a big difference.

Now, me personally, I prefer affiliate marketing just because it's a much more relaxed sort of way of generating an income. I don't consider myself a sales person. I am not the one who enjoys recruiting people to sign up for things and I am not good at convincing people to make purchases. Now, you might say, well, as an affiliate, aren't you getting sales? Aren't you selling items? Yes, I am but it's a much more a subtle approach because I am doing it through my own content, through my tutorials. So, rather than me saying, "Buy this". "Buy it NOW, it's only $19.99". I am simply writing an article saying this is why I like it. You know, click here to buy it and I make a commission. But, my content is doing the selling for me. I don't have to make videos telling people to call a number or call my friend and say, "Hey, sign up for this" And then, I'll get paid. That's a big difference.

So that's a big difference with Affiliate Marketing Vs MLM. I have been getting a lot of comments and questions about Cash Gifting. Now, let me choose my words carefully here, because I am not 100% informed on this program, but let me just say this, "What I know thus far about Cash Gifting, it's not something I want to be involved in." Let me just put it like that. Now, before you guys slam me, I know that there are a whole lot of different versions of this Cash Gifting Program. But, I also know that when I did a Google Search a while ago, there was a whole lot of legal issues and people claiming scam and just a whole lot of things that you just might want to read before you get into this and make sure you have done your homework and research. And, it's unfortunate that you have programs that give MLM a bad name because a lot of these programs out there are calling themselves MLM when they are not. They are Pyramid schemes. I read that in order for a program to be legitimate MLM program it has to have a quality product that has been pushed through these levels. These programs where you send people $10, $5, $6 or whatever and there is no "Official Product" that has been passed, I was told that was illegal. Now, like I have already said, I have not done extensive research because MLM is just not my thing but for it to be called MLM, I do know that you have to have a product to push. If it doesn't have a product, then it's illegal and considered a Pyramid Scheme. You know the problem I have with these Pyramid Schemes is that you notice they never tell you specifically how it works on a lot of these sites and videos they put out. They are always touting how much money you can make and always this picture of a guy smiling, you know, John W. from Staten Island who made $360,000 last year. But, you do not know what John did. You have no idea what John had to do on that website. They never tell you OK this is what you have to do: Step 1, Step 2, Step 3.

I was speaking with a Cash Gifting Expert in Florida this pass Saturday and he tried to convince me that it was the best thing since sliced bread. Needless to say, I did not opt in to his program.

You guys you know me. I tell you exactly how I make money with Affiliate Marketing. I build a website, websites, plural, I have several. I have a blog, I have several blogs. I visit every forum known to man, I refer products that I use and recommend. I don't use them all but the majority of them I do use. And I get a commission anytime somebody buys something as a result of my referral.

Yes, and since I am selling, but it is a much more subtle and relaxed approach than MLM where you are recruiting people to sign up to buy things and then to sell for you. So that is the biggest difference between Affiliate Marketing and MLM. And it's why I prefer Affiliate Marketing. I don't consider myself a salesperson or someone who is good at sales. I am good at getting sales because of my tutorials and because of my content. But I am not a person who actively goes out there recruiting people to do what I do in order to make money. And, with MLM, a lot of times, that is what you have to do.

So, back to the Cash Gifting, you know, you guys do your research. Again, I have not done 5 or 6 days of research on this, so I am not the expert on this, but just what I have seen thus far, on YouTube it just kind of concerns me, so I hope that if you do join it, you must do your research and you make sure that it is legal because there are some, not all of them out there, there may be some Cash Gifting Programs out there that are legal. But, I know, based on some things that I have read, a lot of them are not legal. And anytime, someone cannot explain to you, exactly how you make money, or what you have to do, if they just keep on talking about, how much you can make, and things are very vague, I am waving the red flag. That's your red flag and do not go there. Someone should always be able to tell you exactly what you have to do to make money. You should not have to wonder and you should not have to be overwhelmed on how much money you can make. Because that is what they do, they wow you by the gifts, the money because they want to lure you and that is part of their marketing, that is part of what they do, but just do your homework, please because I don't want you guys get scammed. I don't want you guys to get had out here.

And then there is the 2 tier Affiliate Program like I said. You can make extra money if you can find affiliate programs that are 2 tiered like I mentioned, SiteSell. I think I have something like 2 or 3 hundred people in my 2nd tier for SiteSell's Affiliate Program. But, I never rely 100% on that 2nd tier to make me a lot of money. Because I consider any of that money just a bonus because most people that join up to Affiliate Programs don't make any thing. So, that is why my 2nd tier income is always quite low. I think, out of the 2 to 3 hundred people in my downline, I probably make maybe $80 to $100 from those people every month. Yeah, that's it. So, I consider any of my 2nd tier money a bonus. I make the majority of my money from my own sales. So, I know a lot of people look for the 2 tier Affiliate Programs thinking they are just going to recruit people to sell for them, and then they'll get rich.

You probably won't get a lot of money from that 2nd tier just because of the statistics. I think it is something like 98% that join Affiliate Programs never make anything. So, that's why you don't see a lot from your second tier Affiliate Programs. But, if you happen to find one or two that works for your niche, definitely join them. SiteSell has one, Aweber has one as well and you make money when other people sign up to the Affiliate Program under you and then they make sales. http://aweber.com

So, I hope that this video has kind of given you now an understanding of the difference between Affiliate Marketing and MLM and you now understand now that MLM is not what I do. Attend all webinars, all training sessions, take self improvement classes online, read positive literature.

Believe in yourself as a positive individual, learn everything about multi-level marketing and from there join people that have similar values. Learn how to absorb and improve your value level. Ask yourself, "Why would I want to join me"? And also ask yourself, "Why would you want to join with the person who is mentoring you"? Just because they are more attractive in a since they have everything you do not have or need. You honestly have to really absorb everything like a sponge absorbs water to try and improve your PVL ratio and offer your helping hand without being asked.

Make sure you are utilizing the marketing system. This will allow you to create multiple leads by creating capture pages so you can be extremely targeted. Use an auto responder like it was your virtual secretary. Focus on building your list. Again, FOCUS ON BUILDING YOU LIST. Because Leads + Value = Success. Now it is your duty to teach others so that they too can go all out and duplicate you.

01. Look for popular forums that cover your niche topic.
02. Go to Google and in the search box just put in "your niche + forum" and check the results.
03. Ask your employees, suppliers, and customers which online communities they hang out in.
04. Search forum hub sites such as Board Reader, Big Boards, and Board Tracker using niche-specific keywords.
05. Look for reliable forums that have at least 1,000 members and 10,000 posts.
06. Make sure the forum you choose gets at least 10 to 15 new posts on a daily basis.

Check the policy of the forum and make sure that:

a. You can place links inside your forum posts.
b. You can promote your own business.
c. You can post commercial messages in your signature.
d. You can contact other members for commercial purposes.

When beginning in Internet marketing, something that will be heard crop up again and again is using an auto-responder.

It is an essential part of the business model that will automate the process of getting customers so you can, not necessarily sit back and wait for things to happen, but focus your attention on other things such as driving traffic.

So what is an auto-responder?

Well, as the name suggests, it responds automatically! If average Joe comes by your business website and sees your great offer, if you want him to subscribe to your mailing list, you want to be able to send him an email the minute he's put his name and email into the opt in box on your squeeze page to welcome him.

Without the auto responder, your time could become very tiresome and tedious, having to type in all the names of customers into your email account and then type emails to send to them every day or whenever you want to get in touch with them.

With an auto-responder, you can type the emails in advance, and have the auto-responder send them out at a time and date of your choosing.

So instead of having to wait until the end of the day and collect all the information of names and emails and then type them all in manually to your email account, you can have it all done for you. The time of putting the emails into your email account would be a lot, let alone typing up an email every day and then sending it out.

You'd also have to keep track of who had already been sent what email so that you didn't send someone the same email twice in 2 days instead of sending them ones that were meant to go one after the other.

There is a slight downside to all this, well it's barely a downside when you consider, once you start making money, how much you can make, you do have to pay for this service when you sign up to an auto-responder provider like Aweber or GetResponse. But the time and effort you will save will obviously outweigh the cost and will be a crucial investment to your business.

If you're looking to start an online business and you want to make residual income, one of the first things you need to do is get a good Autoresponder. Many websites or blogs are built to attract visitors and to ultimately make a sale. However, internet marketers understand that building a blog or website is not enough if they want to build a healthy online business. Marketers need to make it a point to collect the visitors email because everyone who visits the website will not instantly buy what they are selling. By collecting email data, online business owners are leveraging the power of Autoresponder and here is why:

1. List Building - Over time a collection of emails can create repeat sales thus resulting in residual income. Building a list allows you to also build a relationship and trust, making it easier to make a sale. People who are on your list can be reminded on a consistent basis who you are and what you do. Put it this way, if you build a site with no option to subscribe, you will only depend on the websites ability to make a sale one time. With a collection of emails you gain the power to leverage your marketing.

3. Branding - Many people who visit your site will not buy for various reasons. Buy providing value, and building trust, they began to unconsciously believe that they know you. If they develop this mentality, they will likely buy any offer you have. Branding also keeps you competitive in your niche market making you stand out from your competition.

Autoresponders also allow you to communicate effectively and often to your list. You can send broadcast, a series of emails, and offer discounts. Bottom line is that you need to invest in an autoresponder if you want to succeed online. If you don't, you have already been outgunned by your competitor with potentially thousands of dollars left on the table!

How to Write Effective E-Mails

From newsletters to order confirmations, e-mail is an increasingly important aspect of the customer experience. There is much more to say about effective e-mail than we can fit into a brief column, but the tips below are a good start. The e-business industry is still so inexperienced about e-mail that even following these basic tips will put any dotcom ahead of most of the industry.

Use a "hook"

An e-mail must have a good reason for being sent; otherwise it's better to not send it. The hook of an e-mail is the single thought or message conveyed by that e-mail and should be stated in the first sentence or two of the e-mail.

Support the hook

Just as the hook provides focus for the e-mail, so should the rest of the e-mail refer to the hook for focus. For example, an e-mail telling customers that there is a sale on a particular product line on an e-commerce site should do just that -- tell customers about the sale.

Be succinct

Keep the e-mail short. From the subject line to the farewell, the e-mail should offer the reader the most relevant information in as few words as possible. Do choose words carefully. Don't think that having a lot of space means that you should use it all.

State the most Important things first

Customers will start reading an e-mail from the beginning and read the introduction to to see if it's worth spending more of their time. Readers tend to pay less and less attention to what is written as they scan more quickly through the rest of the e-mail.

Write for Scan Ability

After absorbing the hook in the opening line of the e-mail, if customers choose to read the rest of the message, they will do so quickly, looking for the most important components. Thus it's important to make it easy for customers to scan the e-mail.

Use the active voice

The most effective way to communicate a message or idea is to use the active voice. The active voice focuses on the subject rather than how the subject is being acted upon, creating a more powerful image or idea.
An active way for example say: We're happy to announce that you can now shop in over 20 new product categories -- and we're adding more products every day.
A passive way for example say: You've been selected for a special discount on any of the the following products

Use the right tone for your audience

E-mail communication tends to be less formal than traditional business and marketing writing. It's important not to be too formal, nor to familiar, when e-mailing your customers. The right tone for an e-mail varies, depending on the customer being mailed and the topic of the e-mail.

Use language that counts

Avoid using words for their own sake. Remember, you don't communicate with your customers just for the sake of communication, but to get across an idea or proposition. To do this, each word and each sentence must "carry its own weight" and have something to do with the hook. If you can get your idea across in fewer words, do so.

Avoid URLs that wrap

URLs can behave in peculiar ways when they are so long that they are broken into two lines of text. It's best to avoid "wrapping URLs" entirely.

Wrap text at 68 character per line

E-mail applications vary in hundreds of ways, but what they have in common is a basic text width. All applications will correctly display text that is 68 characters or less per line. So use a text editor, not a word processor, to write your e-mail newsletters. A good text editor for Windows is Notepad; Macintosh users are blessed with TextEdit.

Avoid excessive use of ALL CAPS, ****, you knows.

It can be tempting to use these techniques for emphasis or urgency; however, using them in excess can be ineffective. It's best to employ these techniques sparingly.

Spacing and Space

In an e-mail, "white space" is as important as the text in effectively communicating an idea or message. The eye can comfortably take in a limited amount of text at a glance, particularly on a computer screen. Cushioning the text with space helps readers scan the text more easily.

Always offer an option to unsubscribe

As explained earlier, e-mails should only be sent when customers have requested information or if there is something noteworthy to tell them. Even with this level of permission there will still be people who who will want to unsubscribe from the e-mail list or newsletter.

Always offer the option to unsubscribe. As an emerging convention, customers can now typically expect to see unsubscribe instruction as the last item at the bottom of the e-mail, following the signature and P.S.

The three most important pieces of real estate in an email

There are three key opportunities to get your message across to your customer. Failing to optimize these three opportunities will likely result in a large number of deleted e-mails.

The subject line, first line of the e-mail, and the P.S. at the end can hold the customer's interest. These three elements get more attention than any other section of an e-mail. If a customer is scanning the e-mail, as most customers do, those three may be the only elements read at all.

Whether you are running a business, trying to build your reputation as a freelancer or trying to get the word out about a cause, there are 5 fairly easy ways to market yourself online.

1. Your Website

Traditional websites were fairly static, one-way conversations where the website’s purpose was to inform/education, promote or sell to a specific audience. Today’s consumers want more than that – they want to know who they are doing business with; they want to know the voice behind the product and they want to be able to have a conversation with that voice.
If you have a traditional website, add a blog component to it and open up the conversation between yourself and your potential customers (and existing ones, too). Not only does it give a voice to your brand, it allows you to educate your customers, build a relationship with them and market yourself.
WordPress the perfect platform for adding that blog component. It is open-source, free, and very easy to learn. You can add it on to any existing website or you can start from scratch and let your blog be the face of your online presence.

2. Your Email

This is a real easy one!! Use a signature block in your emails that you send out. Include your name, website address, tagline (if you have one) or one-liner highlighting your area of expertise, and any other contact information you want in front of your potential customers.

3. Get Social

TwitterThere are social networks for everyone and everything! Facebook, Twitter, and Ning are just the tip of the iceberg. Social networks allow you to expand your own network and tap into the connections of others with similar interests. Be professional, consistent and genuine in all of your social networking endeavours and you never know what doors will open!

Discussion forums are another form of social networking. Find forums that are in your area of expertise or your potential customers area of interest and get involved. Ask questions and answer questions, be genuine and willing to give before you expect to receive anything!

4. Be Part of a Two Way Conversation

Develop a list of other sites that encourage two way conversation and get involved. Leave meaningful comments on posts that interest you. Always use your first name or recognized nickname when leaving a comment. Do not insult the site owner by leaving “keywords” in place of your name – I usually delete those comments here. Do leave the URL of your website in the URL field (when available) and use an email address that works in the event that the site owner would like to continue the conversation directly with you.

5. Be a Guest Author

Most blog owners I know will gladly post an article written by someone else along with a byline, if that article is well written and pertinent to the site. This is a great way for you to share your expertise with a different audience and expand your reach at the same time.

I will explain how to earn the maximum from your blog by employing the best blog monetizing techniques.

First lets look at the types of ads:

There are basically 2 kinds of ads:
PPC(pay per click) and affiliate links.

Pay per click ads works just like the name suggests, someone clicks on one, you get paid.
With affiliate links, you refer someone to an affiliate site, if they buy something, you get a percentage. Say you refer someone to a site that gives you 5%. They then buy a $1,000 laptop. That means you get $50. Clearly, you can make much more from affiliate marketing, than from PPC links.
The key to success with affiliate marketing is the quality of your blog traffic. I'll give you an example, one of my blog pages holds the top SERP ranking for "best flash drive" in a Google regional search. People who run that search are looking to buy a flash drive. My blog post reviews the best flash drives and has affiliate links to those products. That page is highly profitable.

Whiners

As soon as you place any new ads on your blog, some of your readers are going to complain. What these people don't get, is that you put a lot of time and effort into making your blog a valuable resource. It is your right to monetize your blog and turn a honest profit from your work. Most of your readers will understand and those that don't, will eventually accept it.

Layout

I believe in putting down a number of ads. But and this is a big but, the ads need to fit into the style of your blog. You don't want your blog to end up looking like the Frankenstein monster.
The goal of placing ads, is to get your readers to read them and then click on them. To increase the chances of that happening you should place the ads where your readers will notice them. Our Western minds are conditioned to read anything from the top left down to the bottom right. So, if you look at the layout picture, you would expect ads placed in the top left of the Header and Left Column would have the highest CTR(click through rate).
This is true with novice web users. But experienced web users have learned to ignore the Header, Left and Right Columns and to focus on the Content. You will find that I and most other publishers place most of our ads in the Content block, because they receive the most clicks there.
As ad locations go, the Left Column and the Header does better than the Right Column and the Footer is the worst.

Ads - Text VS Images VS Animation

I frequently hear the question: How should I monetize my blog, with text or image ads? The good thing about images is that they attract the readers attention. On the other hand there are more advertisers using text ads, so you can make more, than with image ads.
My recommendation is to use both, but use text ads more heavily than picture ones.
Animated ads are better than image ads at attracting attention, but there are fewer advertisers using them.
As with the other elements in monetizing your blog, experiment to find a mix that works for your blog.

The need for Paypal

If you are going to do business online, you will absolutely need Paypal. It is in the nature of blogging that there are several small incomes and expenses involved. By using Paypal, you will be able to increase your profit, by keeping your costs down. In addition some of the advertisers and affiliates only pay via Paypal, for example Ebay.

Most Profitable Pay per Click sites

Kontera
Kontera isn't really for very small blogs. I don't recommend bothering with it unless you have 10,000 visitors a month. The good thing about Kontera is that it lets you make more money from your posts, without giving up any advertising space.
Their technology reads your posts and turns certain words into ads. The ads are double underlined. If you hover your mouse over a underlined word an ad pops up.

Google Adsense
Adsense is the most widely used PPC service. It dishes out contextual ads, based on your content and it's an easy way to start earning.
Be warned though, Adsense has very strict rules and if you break them, they will ban you.

Adbrite
Adsense won't let you use their ads on blog with certain types of content, like adult and gambling related posts. Also Adsense is a little ban happy. If that happens you need to switch your PPC ads to Adbrite.

FeedBurner
FeedBurner monetizes your RSS feed. If you think about it, everyone that reads your blog through your RSS feed is doing so without paying you. If you have more than 1,000 people reading your RSS feed everyday, you should definitely monetize them with Feedburner.

Review Me
Review me is how the big bloggers make much of their money. You basically get paid to write a review about something. The blogs with high PR and high traffic can demand huge sums for their reviews and they make thousands each month, for very little work.
More modest blogs can make $50 or so per review.

Most Widely Used Affiliates
Below I take a look at three of the most widely used affiliates.

Amazon
Amazon is where the most bloggers start. They aren't great, but they have a huge inventory of stuff, that you can sell and they are good at converting your clicks into sales.
As with all affiliate marketing, you have to keep the ads relevant to your post's content.

ClickBank
ClickBank is a digital good affiliate. That means they sell items like Ebooks. They are the best affiliate for monetizing your email lists.

Commission Junction

Commission Junction is a broker site, they bring affiliates and publishers together. They are great if you are monetizing some service site, like an insurance blog.

How To Build An Effective Landing Page

For certain businesses, "over the top" is acceptable, but "mind-blowing" is even better! As a website designer, I love mind-blowing graphics, but is it appropriate for your business? For some, the answer is yes. If you need double-taking contra-reality, we can accommodate. This article is particularly for those running a conservatively "cool" operation.

Tip #1

Use Cascading Style Sheets (CSS). This tip is "number one" for a reason. When we think of search engines, most of us think of Google, Yahoo, Bing, Ask, etc. Did you know that in reality, YouTube is the second largest search engine in the world? In addition to everything else Facebook is, it is also a giant search engine. With that in mind, we need to "optimize" just as we have become accustomed to doing with Google et al. One of the most important things you can do to optimize your landing page is to have it designed, or design it yourself, using cascading style sheets or CSS. To put it very simply, CSS is "text-heavy". When you consider that search engines are designed to index or "read" data, it becomes obvious that from this aspect alone, CSS is VERY desirable.

Tip #2

Use an opt-in form. Don't spend money or time to get people to a website or page, unless you have a way of knowing they were there. Prominently display an opt-in form (sign up form) on the site to collect data. This data can be used later to "drip market" (follow-up) to the subscribers. Jane Prospect may not need that new swimming pool now, but when she does six months later, she'll likely buy from the company that stayed fresh in her mind during that time. See our post on how to grow your email permission list.

Tip #3

Don't put your primary website address on the page. Some might argue against this one, but follow my logic here. If you list your web address right in the landing page, the visitor will likely blow right past the form and head to the website. That sound terrific, right? Well, what if you could collect their data by having them fill-out the form AND visit the site? Here's what you do: offer something of value, (covered in the next step). When the prospect fills out the form, your email-marketing provider will send them a confirmation email to verify their subscription to the list. This is called a "double opt-in". In the verification email, which you configure, be sure to prominently list your web address, as you NOW want them to visit. Additionally, you can configure the mailing system to send a thank-you to the subscriber. Again, the web address should be prominently displayed. It should be inviting and feel as though the natural next step is to visit the site.

Tip #4

Offer something of value. What should you do to get the form filled in? First of all you must realize that a great percentage of site visitors do not opt-in. Be sure not to take it personally. But, you can take some steps to maximize your chances. For the longest time, the standard offering was a "FREE Report" or "white paper". In my opinion, these have run their course. So many times, they were written by someone else and simply regurgitated amongst those in XYZ industry. Consumers are smart and they caught on to this. Offer anything of perceived value. While your information is valuable, you may need something to get the site visitor off of the fence. For example, we are giving away an Apple iPad. On June 30th, we'll be randomly choosing one of our newsletter subscribers to receive it! Never compromise your brand. I think you have three choices: 1. Study up and do a proper Facebook Landing page yourself, 2. Have a reputable company do a quality Facebook Landing page, or 3. Don't do it at all. Facebook can be "first impressions on overdrive". With that many people moving that quickly around virtual space, putting a sub-par presence out is downright self-destructive.

Complete One Task At A Time

When you start anything new you have to be prepared to have patience and learn and educate yourself as you go. It can be overwhelming for the newcomer especially to network marketing as apart from all the cutting-edge ways to promote your business on...

I was having a conversation with a colleague and friend today about her internet marketing business and she was telling me about the frustration and dissatisfaction she is experiencing working from home. She feels overwhelmed as there is so much to learn and achieve and she is having trouble finding the time to not only learn all about her new internet marketing business but also to try to understand and implement those learnings in order to progress in her business. She is equally concerned about the time she is spending flitting from one thing to another and not really completing any of the tasks to her satisfaction. This is adding to her frustration and her inability to move forward with her business. This is normal! Everyone experiences this when they start their online business and here is a very good technique to manage this.

I also experienced the same discontent and frustration when I started my online business so I was able to give her one of my best free internet marketing tips - completing tasks one at a time. When I made the decision to follow this simple but very effective technique it really worked for me and I was able to see some real progress in my business very quickly.

This is the method I used. First of all I make a list of all the tasks I need to achieve and everything I need to learn to achieve success in my business. Then I prioritize the list, making sure my number one priority is "income producing activities". Be mindful, if you are not earning, you are not able to continue with your business. After all my tasks are listed down, I deal with them one by one, use using a steady methodical method. Don't be tempted to put it aside and move on to something else before you have nailed it. When I have mastered one task, have a thorough understanding of how it works and have it firmly implemented in my business, I put it aside and move on to the next task. Most of the tasks and projects in my business are ongoing, so from time to time, I will need to go back to this task, review and update anything that needs attention, but for the main part I can rest assured I've got it covered and now I can move on to the next task.

I have found this to be a very powerful technique that not only keeps me focused but enables me to progress swiftly and confidently with the growth of my business. It also leaves me feeling very satisfied as I go through my list and tick off my projects one by one when they have been completed. It is very liberating to see my business grow using this technique and know that every day I am getting closer to achieving my goals.

Always keep in mind the big picture, your overall goal and where you want to take your business and position yourself in the marketplace. By following the above method and completing one task at a time, you will be able to monitor your daily progress and your steady rise to success. A little motivational image I always keep in my mind are the words from the song by Mavis Staples - the American rhythm and blues gospel singer - "keep your eyes on the prize- hold on".

Handling and completing one task at a time is one of the many techniques I learned from the amazing marketing and education system provided by the business model I use to promote and develop my business. If you try it, it will certainly turbo charge your business activities and you will be well on your way to success.

01. Don’t follow your wife’s (or partner’s) advice. Sometimes I call an idea stupid just because it’s too far-fetched to be believable. Wild, crazy ideas will certainly get people’s attention and avoid boredom. If someone says it’s stupid, it just might work…

02. Don’t follow your writer’s group advice: Other authors of blogs will tell you to only write what you know about. If that were true, then all mystery writers would be murderers. Don’t squelch your imagination.

03. Don’t follow your English teachers’ rules: Don’t get hung up on grammar. Write and worry later about the rules, or get someone else to do that. So what if you don’t believe in commas.

04. Don’t study how others write, or how blogs should be written: It’s more important to just get started, get your blogs going.

05. Don’t worry, be happy: feed your creativity by squelching anxiety and fear. If you’re not happy, then use that energy to write like hell. Either way, you’ve got no excuse.

06. Don’t do any housework, just spend time writing. (That’s not entirely true, but it helps not to worry about the ‘other things’ in life.)

07. Question everything: Look at life with a big “What if…” Creativity employs a special mindset, one that doesn’t accept things the way they are supposed to be.

08. Ask “Why not…?” a lot.

09. Get out of your own backyard. Look for unusual juxtapositions in the world. What can we learn from ancient Greece, for example, that can be applied to modern day society? A trip to a museum, an old book, a second-hand store – all contain gems to stimulate the imagination.

10. Go to every movie you can, read books and then practice telling and writing stories. Turn everyday anecdotes from life into paragraphs.

They say that even with great talent, you’ve still got to put in hours of practice to become masterful at any craft.

Scientists tell us it takes 10,000 hours of practice to become masterful (that’s like 10 years with 4 hours a day). Blogging may not take that long, but the more you do it, the better you get.

Downloading Torrent Files, is it illegal?

Is it illegal to download torrent files?
No it's not.

BUT WAIT ...

Before you run off and start downloading last week's bootlegged theatrical movie release, you really need to understand why that particular download and others like it probably are illegal.

(Caveat: I'm basing this on my knowledge of the current state of Copyright law. Please, realize I'm no lawyer, and this shouldn't be taken as legal advice. This is mostly just common sense with the high level concepts we're talking about.)

"Torrent" files are, specifically, a small file of information used by a file sharing technology known as "bitTorrent". To be super pedantic about it, because the ".torrent" file itself just has some administrative information in it, there's nothing wrong with downloading it.

But that, of course, is not what you meant.

The word "torrent" is also frequently, though incorrectly, used to refer to the actual files being shared using bitTorrent. So while you might use the ".torrent" to initiate a download, most people call the download itself a "torrent" as well. And that's more than likely what you're asking.

But here's the catch: bitTorrent is nothing more than a file downloading technology. It's highly efficient, optimized for large files and for decentralized storage of the files being downloaded, but ultimately it's nothing more than a way to copy a file down to your machine.

Copying a file to your machine is not illegal.

The technology used to copy a file to your machine is not illegal.

In some ways you could just as well ask "Is it legal to download files from the web?", to which the answer is (obviously, I hope), of course it's legal. We do it every time we view a web page.

The problem comes from looking at exactly what kinds of files are being downloaded.

Downloading copyrighted files without permission is illegal. And it doesn't matter what technology you happen to use to do it: bitTorrent, FTP, web downloads, email or getting a CD in the mail. If the material is copyrighted and you didn't pay for or otherwise get the legal right or license to receive those files, those are all copyright violations.

Unfortunately bitTorrent technology has become confused with illegal file sharing simply because so much of that illegal activity uses that technology.

So let's be clear: the technology is legal. BitTorrent is legal. Torrents are legal. But using bitTorrent or any other technology to download copyrighted material that you don't have the right to is not.

And yes, bitTorrent and bitTorrent-like technology can most definitely be used for totally legal activities. As just one small example I believe many Linux distributions are often made available as torrents. Perfectly legal, and exactly the kind of large download that bitTorrent technology was designed for and excels at.

Sadly, people who should know better either don't, or are purposely using that confusion to further their own agenda. We've heard of ISPs and other facilities blocking or throttling bitTorrent file transfers, or politicians suggesting they do so, "because it's all illegal". It's not. Along with blocking the illegal file sharing that's going on, doing so also blocks the legal and appropriate use of the technology as well.

6 Common Email Marketing Mistakes

Everyone makes mistakes – even email marketing geniuses (hard to imagine, we know ;) ).

Yet with so many things to double and triple-check before sending a campaign, it’s easy for important components to slip the minds of seasoned pros and newbies alike. In fact, The Retail Email Blog regularly posts about the mistakes and “oopsies” of big email marketers on their blog, so if in fact you do mess up from time to time, you are still in good company! All joking aside, it’s always best to avoid a mistake before it happens. Here’s a list of things to steer clear of in order to make your campaigns run more smoothly than you ever thought possible.

1. Buying Email Lists

Effective email campaigns cater to specific demographics, tastes and interests. Using confirmed opt-in to obtain the proper permission from people who are truly interested in your targeted emails ensures that they really want to hear from you.When you buy an email list, there’s no way to guarantee that those people are really interested in your messages, so you must avoid purchased lists at all costs. You can never assume anything about the addresses of random people that are not given to you directly by their owners.

2. Hard to Recognize “From” Names and Subject Lines

Once subscribers are on your list, you want to make sure that they open your messages regularly. Your subject line and from name/address are your only chance to grab subscribers attention in their jam-packed in-boxes. To help jog their memory, always use the same email address and contact name so that there is no confusion when your messages arrive. Your subject lines must clearly present the value of the emails while staying consistent with your past subject lines to evoke recognition and familiarity.

3. Avoiding CAN-SPAM Compliance

The Can-Spam Act requires that all messages contain the sender’s valid physical postal address, but some home-based and international businesses are hesitant to include this information in their campaigns. Aside from the legal obligation, putting your contact address in your emails is the best way to show subscribers that you have a legitimate identity and that you won’t run for the hills as soon as they make a purchase from you.

4. Irrelevant and Infrequent Emails

Sending emails that don’t relate back to their original request for info irritates readers and is a guaranteed way to rack up a high number of unsubscribes. Add an infrequent schedule to the previous scenario and you have a recipe for email disaster.As a rule of thumb, if you haven’t contacted subscribers in 6 months, delete them from your list. Revisit your landing page from time to time to assess your email content and make sure it matches up with your original offer. Set expectations so that subscribers know what to expect from you, and when to expect it.

Expectations are easiest to address in three stages:
1. Create Subscriber Expectations Before The Opt-In
2. Create and Reinforce Expectations Right After The Opt-In
3. Create Subscriber Expectations Over Time

5. No Call to Action

With all of the emphasis placed on quality content and sharp design, it’s understandable that marketers sometimes miss the obvious. When a reader opens a message and they’re interested in learning more, don’t forget they will be thinking, “What do I do next?” Give them a way to move forward easily. Include multiple calls to action and links back to your site so you don’t lose them. Set up your products favorably, and remember when creating your messages that there must be a logical sequence of events – you want readers to open, read, click-through and ultimately buy.

6. Not Testing Before Sending

With all of the time spent prepping marketing emails, typos can easily go unnoticed. Testing your messages before sending them only takes a minute or two and can help you pinpoint problems before they materialize. Send test copies to test accounts at several different email services to ensure that the message is readable, the images are viewable and the links are functional.

Do We really need more comic relief?

Comic relief usually means a release of emotional or other tension resulting from a comic episode interposed in the midst of serious or tragic elements in a drama. The release of emotion comes in the form, in most cases, laughter. Although, many have been releasing their emotions so much that the laughter turns into pain and the pain usually turns into crying. Just the opposite of what one would expect. Comic relief often takes the form of a bumbling, wisecracking sidekick of the hero or villain in a work of fiction. A sidekick used for comic relief will usually comment on the absurdity of the hero's situation and make comments that would be inappropriate for a character who is to be taken seriously. Other characters may use comic relief as a means to irritate others or keep themselves confident, such as Spider-Man. Rumour has it that there are many such super heroes here at NetDIVVY also. They claim to be heroic and they brag about what they have or have not done. They brag because of their age, wisdom or their lack of, and there are others who have just left their mother's nest and claim to be super heroes because they opted-in 4 people last month. Sic!

Sometimes comic relief characters will appear in fiction that is comical. This generally occurs when the work enters a dramatic moment, but the character continues to be comical regardless. Greek tragedy does not allow any comic relief. Even the Elizabethan critic Sidney following Horace's Ars Poetica pleaded for the exclusion of comic elements from a tragic drama. But in the Renaissance England Marlowe among the University Wits introduced comic relief through the presentation of crude scenes in Doctor Faustus following the native tradition of Interlude which was usually introduced between two tragic plays. In fact, in the classical tradition the mingling of the tragic and the comic was not allowed.

Comic relief as defined by Webster's Dictionary goes something like this: A humorous or farcical interlude in a serious literary work or drama, especially a tragedy, intended to relieve the dramatic tension or heighten the emotional impact by means of contrast.

We need comic relief. It breaks up the day because we are so darn serious all the time.

Here are some signs and notices written in English -- more or less -- that were discovered throughout the world:

01. In a Tokyo Hotel: Is forbidden to steal hotel towels please. If you are not a person to do such a thing is please not to read notis.

09. CHURCH BULLETIN: For those of you who have children and don't know it, we have a nursery downstairs. This afternoon there will be a meeting in the South and North ends of the church. Children will be baptized at both ends. Tuesday at 4:00 PM there will be an ice cream social. All ladies giving milk will please come early. This being Easter Sunday, we will ask Mrs. Lewis to come forward and lay an egg on the altar.

You can do this by having a webinar or a free webinar and show people how, what, who, where and when you did the things you did in order to become successful. I am always interested in making money, whether it be at-home, at the office or on the internet. One of the easiest ways to fail online with your MLM or network marketing business is to brand the wrong way. This is especially a problem because most people who are just beginning to bring their network marketing business online do not realize the potential pitfalls of branding your opportunity.

Branding your business as a network marketing business or an MLM business is a sure sign for disaster. Let me explain. First of all you are selling your business opportunity during your first interaction with people. The problem with that is that your prospects get turned off to your idea or your business right away. Instead of trying to build a relationship with this person, which is the point of network marketing after all, you are just trying to sell.

On the other hand, if you were to build a website where you were branding yourself as someone who provides value and information, then you would not have this problem. In fact, this would be the recommended way to attract people to you and to attract potential distributors and partners to your MLM business.

The best way to bring new people into your business is to first make connections and build relationships with them. Trying to force people to make a decision about joining your business right away is like selling door to door. The whole point of network marketing is to leverage your network. If by chance you have heard or read any reviews about this company in the past year, you may have seen a somewhat ordinary theme. Countless reviewers are merely stating this, "Make Money by Doing What You Are Already Doing and Sign up For FREE". With that, let us review the evidence about this company and subsequently you can make up your own mind for yourself.

The company domain name was registered in October of 2004. The registrant contacts come out of Red Bank, New Jersey. Adam Kotkin is the registrant name on file. They say that their main claim to fame is that they will reimburse anyone to read email, watch videos, do a engine search, add Favorites and engage in Social Networking activities that anyone would do anyway, and that they will pay anyone on six levels for referring others to do the same.

I personally visited their website and apparently the company Signup Option is FREE. Supposedly, this company will automatically add money to your account, the one you just created by signing up. The amount that they would be willing to pay you is not much, but pennies add up to dollars sooner than you think. I then decided to browse the site, to dig deeper as it were, and find out for myself what all the fuss was about.

Firstly, let me digress. There is such a thing called "Points" on this company's main page. These so called "Points" apparently translate into dollars. So, what they are trying to say is that the more "Points" you win/earn, the more money you make.

Also, I found out that you can, if you so desire, play games, watch videos and shop. From there you have the ability to login to other Social Networking Sites and ALL Online Emailing Systems.

One item of interest caught my eye was the fact that if you updated your status on this site, it would automatically update your status on other Social Networking Sites also and place a referral link to the company's website just underneath the update. I thought that was a very COOL idea.

Also from their portal, you can login to various email systems while still on the home page. Another NEAT idea that never has been tried on any other website I have visited to do the research in order to get this article in print.

This particular website also offers a rebate and cash back percentages usually around 3-5 percent on numerous categories in their store from a lot of major retailers.

The founders of this website put a large amount of cash into their back office. Once upon a time you could upgrade your FREE account to an Entrepreneur account for $200.00. Apparently, that no longer exists. But, Entrepreneur members get paid every 2 weeks while FREE members get paid once a month.

If you have a massive emailing list, the sky is the limit in regards to the amount of money you can make. Your friends that you invite in will also be happy.

Many people do believe that this site is a scam, because they are somewhat ill informed, but from the research that I have done, this Social Networking Site will be one of the major players on the internet in the very near future. As more people join, they will be bringing in more revenue from advertisers from around the world and their annual income/revenue will be in comparison to that of other social networking sites.

Based on what I have already said, there is nothing to avoid. It is not a get rich scheme, but it can make you some extra money.

Activate your new PeopleString account by confirming your alternate email address. Simply visit the alternate email address you used to create your account, click the confirmation link and earn your first $.10!

What should I do if I have not received the

confirmation email to activate my new account?

If your confirmation email has not arrived within two hours of your initial sign up, you may resubmit the request. To do so, simply visit the log in section of your PS homepage and enter your sign in info. You will see an option appear to Re-Send the confirmation email to your alternate email address. After clicking this, simply visit your alternate email address and click the account verification link in order to activate your account. Please be sure to check your Spam or Bulk Mail folder if you have not already done so. Please be sure you have entered an alternate email address that is correct and that you are able to access. If you haven’t done so, you will simply need to re-register for your PeopleString account using an alternate email address you can access and verify to proceed with your new PeopleString account.
